Today on the podcast I’m joined by Sander Van Den Broecke, the creator and author of the travel blog Ars Currendi (Latin, meaning The Art of Traveling).
This is a milestone episode, as Sander is the youngest guest to come on the podcast thus far. As of the recording of this episode, he is 21 years old. And even at such a young age, he’s already covered a lot of ground as a traveler.
Sander has traveled to many countries around Europe. With his first solo travel experience being to Dublin, Ireland when he was just 18. Since then he’s also made it to parts of Asia. Currently, he resides in his home country of Belgium, where he studies English, Spanish, and Dutch at university.
In this episode, Sander shares some of his experiences as a young traveler. He tells about his time in Dublin and some of the challenges that he faced. As well as his trip to Japan, a place that we both have been to. We also discuss language learning and the value that it has. Why you should take the leap and go out and travel. And how to adjust when things don’t go according to plan in both travel and in life.
