For this episode of The All-Around Adventure Podcast, I’m joined by travel blogger and fiction novelist, Chris Oldfield.
This will be Chris’s third appearance on The All-Around Adventure Podcast! In his previous episodes, we got to hear about some of his early travel memories and his insights on sustainable travel. Though I decided to bring him back on the show because he just wrapped up a really cool project that I wanted to hear about and share with you all. And that he just released his first fiction novel! It’s titled The Less Year, and it’s a novel in the post-apocalyptic genre! As of the release of this episode, the book is now available on Amazon!
In this episode, Chris tells us about what inspired him to become a writer, how he finds time to write while traveling, and his interest in the post-apocalyptic genre. Along with this, we take a deep dive into various aspects of humanity as we talk about his novel and other books in the genre. We also discuss pursuing creative outlets in life and utilizing strategy and discipline to follow through on what you set out to do.
