Today on the podcast I’m joined by Lane Belone, founder of Increase Freedom. A brand that’s on a mission to help people reinvent themselves through travel, and live the life that they are meant to live.
I was looking forward to this conversation with Lane. Because like myself, he is also a military Veteran. Shortly after graduating from high school, he joined the Army and was stationed in Germany. Though later in his service, he made the decision to join the Special Forces. And after a very long and intense selection and training process, he ended up earning his Green Beret.
After years of service, Lane made the difficult decision to end his career in the military and transition back to life as a civilian. However, his love for travel set him on a path of new adventures. All while developing a more meaningful strategy for travel, and learning valuable life lessons along the way.
In this episode, Lane tells us more about his military service. Talking about his early days while stationed in Germany, training to become a Green Beret, and his transition back to being a civilian. We also talk about gaining perspective and seeing things from other people’s points of view. The value of building solid relationships through communication. And how to be intentional in order to live the life you want to live.

He also has a book out, titled Unleash Your Humble Alpha: Own Your Presence in Life and Become the Epic Leader You Are Meant to Be! Which he co-authored with another guest on this podcast, Steven Kuhn.
Lastly, check out the app Trello that Lane suggested!
