For this episode of The All-Around Adventure Podcast, I’m joined by Marine Corps officer and Team USA bobsled pilot, Riley Tejcek.

The military wasn’t something that Riley considered while she was growing up. Though after meeting a Marine Corps recruiter while she was in college. She found her way to Officer Candidate School and was commissioned as an officer in 2019. Riley has also been an athlete all of her life. Following a tenure as a Division 1 softball player. She sought out a new challenge and tried out for the USA bobsled team in 2020, and has been racing with them ever since. Riley is also a woman of faith, which is what she attributes her amazing accomplishments to.

In this episode, Riley tells us about her journey to getting commissioned a Marine Corps officer and how she became a part of Team USA. She also tells us about the different places that she’s been to in order to compete as a bobsled pilot. Furthermore, we discuss her faith and how it guided her through the challenges that she faced during her military service, as well as competing at the highest level as a lifelong athlete.
