My Thoughts on Bus Tours in Israel

In a previous post I talked about how overwhelming I thought Israel was. Despite being relatively small in size, there was much to see. There are many holy sites and other historically significant sites scattered throughout the country. To get to as many as I could during the time I was there, I decided to go on a couple of bus tours. Which came with pros and cons, so for this post I wanted to share my thoughts.

I’m predominately a solo traveler, and I tend to move pretty fast when I’m out exploring a place. I also like to venture off the beaten path and see what I can find. So the slower pace and the rigid design of a tour doesn’t appeal to me all that much. Of course there are exceptions that I make, such as for ghost/haunted tours. I’m a pretty big fan of those! But for the most part, going on tours isn’t really my style.

My decision to go on bus tours in Israel came mostly out of necessity. With so much to see in the country I felt that a bus would be a great way to get around. I ended up booking all of my bus tours through Eg’ged Tours. They had a good variety of tour options to choose from. They would also pick you up and drop you off at your hotel. This made it very convenient to go out and see Israel.

Another thing I liked about going on these bus tours was the tour guides. Tour guides in Israel undergo extensive training, and it definitely showed. The tour guides I had were well-organized and very knowledgeable. I often had a hard time keeping up because they had so much information to share. They were also very charismatic, which made the tour more enjoyable.

Even though tours aren’t usually my thing, I did enjoy seeing Israel by bus. It was a convenient way to see as much of the country as I could and learn more about its vast history. Overall, I would certainly recommend going by bus to others as well. I felt that Eg’ged Tours was a good company to go through, but there are other companies to choose from as well.

I hope you enjoyed this post and found it insightful. For now I just wanted to cover the idea of using bus tours as a good way to seeing Israel. But I’ll be going over the specifics of each tour I took in later posts! If you like this post please share it with others and leave a comment below. Thank you for visiting my blog and have a great day!
